Organisers of Donald Trump’s memecoin have announced a third holder event, offering dinner invitations to top-ranked investors as the token trades far below its launch-era highs.

Trump is scheduled to appear at Trump National Golf Club in Virginia on November 22, according to report. Invitations are being offered to the top 185 qualifying holders.

A brief price boost

The announcement initially lifted TRUMP about 9%, from $2.05 to $2.23, before it returned to approximately $2.06 at the time of the report.

That remained far below the roughly $70 reached shortly after its January 2025 launch.

The response shows how event promotions can briefly move a memecoin’s price without establishing lasting demand.

Invitations come with limits

Eligibility uses a time-weighted ranking that rewards holding more tokens for longer, with the final snapshot scheduled for November 12.

The top 29 participants qualify for a VIP reception. However, the organisers’ terms explicitly state that no attendee will receive a private meeting with Trump, Decrypt reported.

Ethics questions return

Public Citizen co-president Robert Weissman criticised the event as profiteering from the presidency, while Senator Chris Coons called it “corruption.” These are critics’ allegations, rather than findings of wrongdoing.

The White House referred Cointelegraph’s questions to the organisers.

For investors, the immediate issue is the financial exposure created by competing for an invitation. Holding tokens to maintain a ranking leaves participants exposed to price declines throughout the qualification period.

An invitation is a promotional benefit, not protection against investment losses. TRUMP’s brief rally illustrates how quickly enthusiasm can fade.
