Messari CEO Ryan Selkis has announced his resignation, transitioning to the role of Senior Advisor. Eric Turn, the Chief Revenue Officer, will take over his position. This decision follows Selkis’ inflammatory comments on social media supporting Donald Trump after an assassination attempt on the Republican nominee.

In a series of tweets, Selkis expressed extreme views, including wishing harm on Trump opponents and suggesting civil war. Public backlash intensified after he made xenophobic remarks towards an immigrant.

Selkis apologized for his behaviour, acknowledging he “ran too hot” and pledging to focus on systemic issues.
