European countries would be at risk if they accept U.S. long-range missile deployments, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated in a video released on Saturday.

When asked about the potential deployment of American hypersonic missiles to Europe by Russian state TV reporter Pavel Zarubin, Peskov responded, “We have enough capability to deter these missiles. However, the capitals of these European countries are potential targets.”

Peskov highlighted that during the Cold War, American missiles in Europe were targeted at Russia, while Russian missiles were aimed at Europe, making European countries the primary victims in any potential conflict.

He commented, “Europe is now in a state of disarray. This is not an ideal time for Europe. Consequently, history will, in some manner, repeat itself.”
