Elon Musk’s AI startup xAI and Oracle (NYSE) have ended negotiations on a potential $10 billion server deal, according to The Information. The talks aimed to expand an arrangement for xAI to rent Nvidia (NASDAQ) AI chips from Oracle’s cloud services. Issues such as Musk’s demands for rapid supercomputer development and power supply concerns at the preferred location halted progress. xAI continues to train AI models in Oracle’s Gen2 Cloud.
