Police can seize £2.6m from Tate brothers, Andrew and Tristan Tate after a UK court ruled they evaded tax on £21m earnings from online businesses.
The funds, including cryptocurrency, were held in frozen accounts. Devon and Cornwall Police argued the brothers concealed earnings using “front” accounts, constituting tax evasion and money laundering.
Judge Paul Goldspring dismissed the Tates’ claims of legitimate activity, highlighting links to human trafficking allegations in Romania. Andrew Tate called the ruling “a coordinated attack” and “outright theft.”
The Tate brothers face ongoing legal challenges, including extradition to the UK over further allegations of rape and human trafficking, which they deny.
