Mark Zuckerberg’s personal fortune has skyrocketed by $73.4 billion in 2024, bringing his net worth to $201 billion, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index. This surge places the Meta CEO as the fourth richest person globally, alongside Elon Musk ($272 billion), Jeff Bezos ($211 billion), and Bernard Arnault ($207 billion).
Meta Stock Surge Drives Growth
Zuckerberg’s wealth boost is largely tied to the meteoric rise in Meta Platforms stock, which has surged by nearly 64% in 2024. Shares closed at a record $568.31 on Wednesday after the Meta Connect 2024 event, where Zuckerberg discussed Meta AI’s expansion, nearing 500 million active users.
Zuckerberg isn’t alone in seeing major gains. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison have also seen their fortunes rise by $62.2 billion and $58.6 billion in 2024, respectively.
With this remarkable leap, Zuckerberg is now gaining ground on Bezos and Arnault in the elite $200 billion club.
