Kylian Mbappe Joins Real Madrid

French soccer star Kylian Mbappe will receive a signing-on bonus of at least £85 million ($108.4 million) over five years after completing his anticipated move to Real Madrid. The 25-year-old World Cup winner will join the Spanish giants on a free transfer when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of June.

Real Madrid confirmed the five-year agreement on Monday but did not disclose financial details. Reports suggest Mbappe’s signing bonus could be as high as €150 million ($162.9 million), paid in installments over his contract.

Mbappe expressed his excitement on social media, calling it “a dream come true” to join Real Madrid. His post included childhood photos of him wearing a Real Madrid jacket and meeting Cristiano Ronaldo.

The announcement follows Real Madrid’s record-extending 15th Champions League win. Mbappe scored 44 goals last season, leading PSG to the Ligue 1 title.
