TikTok resumed access for U.S. users after blocking service the previous night. The move followed President-elect Donald Trump’s assurance that the app could remain operational.
On Truth Social, Trump announced plans to issue an executive order delaying the ban to allow negotiations.
The situation stems from a law signed by President Biden in April, requiring TikTok’s Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to sell the app to a non-Chinese buyer.
Talks continue as the app remains under scrutiny.
